What To Expect from Us

What should I expect from my first physiotherapy appointment?

The initial physiotherapy appointment will last between 45-60minutes.  During this time, your physiotherapist will find out detailed information about your current condition, your occupation and lifestyle, and any relevant medical history.

Following a thorough examination, you will be given a detailed explanation about your condition and what treatments are likely to benefit you. Your physiotherapist will begin treatment during this session.

What should I wear?

If you are seeing us for a lower limb or a back problem, it is advisable you bring a pair of shorts or wear loose fitting trousers that can be rolled up above the knee.If you have a neck or a shoulder problem, ladies may be requested to undress down to their bra, but if you feel more comfortable, a vest top can be worn.

PurePhysio offer a private room for consultations so that your privacy is respected.

What if I am under 16?

If you are under 16, we ask that you are accompanied by a parent. All physiotherapists working at PurePhysio have an up to date PVG scheme record.

What about confidentiality?

Your physiotherapist will not disclose any information about your condition unless we have consent from you to do so.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please telephone or text us on 07933 208037 or email us at enquiries@purephysio.org . There will be a £20 cancellation charge if less than 24 hours notice is given.
